It’s in 1999 that GR Matic Canada Inc. is established. Its founder was inspired by the desire to build and distribute a vending machine for certain products in individual portions, which was unconventional for this market. These products were then only available in stores or in bulk: boxed chips, cans, jujubes and candy, salted nuts etc…
The first machine, the LSP 45, which is currently still in use, has three rows of canned products: chips, mix matic products and jujubes. This machine has brought steady success for novice and experienced operators alike.
Mainly operated in bars, shopping centers, leisure centers, hair salons, service stations and even department stores, the LSP quickly demonstrated its profitability.
In 2001, growing customer demand incited us to design modules to expand the LSP 45. These modules, the LSP 15s, have an independent coin mechanism and bring even more versatility to vending machine retailing.
2003 - To answer the request of the agents, a wall-mounted machine was created: the LSG 870. This machine distributes packs of gum and has a capacity of 70 packs. The LSG870 is very popular on the market.
It’s in 2003 as well that, following a tour of sports arenas, GR Matic Canada decides to develop the Playgum Machine to the great joy of table sports fans. This machine is in fact a table soccer or table hockey game combined with a vending machine that rewards the winner with gum or any other encapsulated popular consumer product.
In 2005, Playgum makes a massive and noticeable entry in sports-oriented location. GR Matic Canada installs two hundred (200) Playgum vending machines in arenas, sports centers, pool halls, bowling alleys, sports bars and restaurants, community centers etc…
This successful endeavour revealed a striking interest for this type of machine.
In 2006, GR Matic Canada builds a network of operators who invest in the marketing of Playgum, an innovative and successful idea.
In 2007, GR Matic Canada opens up to international markets, in collaboration with renowned distributors.
